Savour Canterbury
Christchurch is renowned for its abundant natural produce. Alongside our freshest seasonal bounty, talented artisan producers are creating award-winning foods and drinks served with manaakitanga, the essence of warm hospitality.
Morning
Start the day with a bespoke breakfast experience with Riverside Kitchen at Christchurch's boutique Riverside Market. Meet the local producers as you work your way around the pop-up breakfast stations where you will find refreshing breakfast cocktails, pastries hot out of the oven and international breakfast dishes inspired by local ingredients.
If your group is up for a friendly competition then take on the 'masterchef' challenge and gather all your ingredients from the market food producers and have a cook off for the best breakfast creation.
Morning/Lunch
Jump on board a luxury coach or helicopter and head a short distance to the North Canterbury Wine Region for wine tasting and pairing with locally sourced food. For the ultimate experience, forage for your own range of naturally-grown produce including exquisite truffles, followed by a private lunch at an award-winning winery restaurant, where chefs cook what you have collected.
Afternoon
Head back to the city and stop at Cassels and Sons at The Tannery for a private tour of the brewery with their master brewer and create your own batch of bespoke beer, bottled and shipped direct to your door for when you return home.
If high-tea is more your style then Penny Black Victorian Tea Room, also located at The Tannery, is the perfect place for a unique private high-tea experience.
Evening
Head back into the CBD for a range of culinary experiences. Jump onboard New Zealand's only Tramway Restaurant for a unique and intimate dining experience not to be missed.
Many restaurants in the city offers private dining options - The Monday Room, Hali Bar & Bistro, Twenty Seven Steps, Francesca's and Miro to name a few.
