An instantly recognizable voice and stirring songcraft solidified Irish troubadour Hozier as a Grammy-nominated, award-winning multi-platinum singer and songwriter. His success was driven by the thought-provoking quintuple-platinum anthem ‘Take Me To Church’. After a sold out show on the 22nd November don’t miss out on his second show on Saturday 23rd November at Wolfbrook Arena.

We are excited the Tall Blacks are heading to Ōtautahi Christchurch for a FIBA 2025 Asia Cup Qualifier at Wolfbrook Arena. After several strong performances during the FIBA 2023 Basketball World Cup, and in a year with the 2024 Olympics, the Tall Blacks will return home in November 2024 to continue their qualification journey for the FIBA 2025 Asia Cup.

Ōtautahi Christchurch will be hosting the first Test match this summer between the BLACKCAPS and England! The Test will be played from Thursday 28 November – Monday 2 December 2024 at Hagley Oval! Info about tickets for the New Zealand Cricket International Home Summer will be released in due course.

The World Buskers Festival is back for 2025, and we’re ready to fill Christchurch’s streets, venues, and public spaces with incredible performances! Known as one of the best street performance festivals in the world, this iconic event has been captivating audiences since 1994. From acrobatics and circus acts to comedy and cabaret, this is where the world’s best street artists come together with Christchurch’s artists and community for 10 days of pure entertainment.

The highly anticipated Crankworx Summer Series returns to Ōtautahi Christchurch late this summer. The hills will come alive February 13 to 16 2025 with a whole new line up of events elevating the mountain biking experience for riders and spectators alike. The festival introduces a new Freeride Mountain Bike Association Gold Level Slopestyle event, the first of its kind in New Zealand. The festival will also feature two additional events: Pump Track and Downhill, ensuring a packed 4-day event with action for spectators and athletes.

The iconic Isaac Theatre Royal is set to play host to the world’s best squash athletes, with the venue secured for the 2025 New Zealand Squash Open in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. The theatre, which was built in 1908, will be decked out with a glass court on stage, allowing fans a spectacular view as the event is contested from March 4th to 9th, 2025. The location will be especially significant for Paul Coll who grew up in Greymouth and went to school in Christchurch. We are really looking forward to the Open coming to Ōtautahi Christchurch next year!
