Meet The Gateway To Antarctica Team
Gateway to Antarctica is Ōtautahi Christchurch’s official hub. The team is here to support, connect and develop opportunites for all International Antarctic Programmes.
Here, your gateway experience will open up new possibilities.
We are a city that looks to the future as we work to deliver Christchurch's Antarctic Gateway Strategy. Our team provides advice and assistance to international Antarctic Programmes operating via Christchurch.
The Antarctic community is the core of our Gateway City status. We work closely with local organisations, businesses, scientists and other stakeholders. We connect you with key Antarctic partners to help take care of your work on and off the ice.

Dave Tayler
Dave comes from a commercial background, is an expert networker and relationship builder and has a strong appreciation of our Antarctic gateway status with a clear vision to drive Christchurch’s Antarctic Gateway Strategy.

Lizzie Dryden
With over two decades of event and project management experience, Lizzie likes a challenge. What better way to represent Ōtautahi Christchurch, than to implement the outreach and engagement outcomes outlined in the Christchurch Antarctic Gateway Strategy.
