The centre is a hub for diverse creative expression and home to independent galleries, museums and cinemas.
Venues are available for hire for conferences, meetings and private functions. The magnificent Great Hall and cloisters provide a particularly photogenic event backdrop. The large, north-facing stained glass Memorial Window was installed in 1938 and is comprised of 4,000 pieces of glass.
The Great Hall provides outstanding photo opportunities and excellent acoustics. It has an open fireplace, large projection screen and lighting rig, wheelchair access, and kitchenette/green room. Whether you're looking to host a gala dinner, cocktail party or more, this airy venue is filled with light and can be reconfigured for almost any function.
Visitors can enjoy quality food, drink, entertainment and shopping experiences, wander around the grounds or join a guided tour. You can even stay onsite at the boutique Observatory Hotel.
A range of local and national creative enterprises and tech startups rent offices in the precinct.
