Doc Edge is an Academy Awards® qualifying international documentary festival, featuring the best films from New Zealand and around the world.
The festival includes an Immersive Exhibition, a showcase of digital interactive storytelling, at key locations around the central city.
Bringing local and international film, TV and Media industry professionals together, Doc Edge Festival incorporates the Doc Edge Forum and Pitch Events, and the Doc Edge Awards, celebrating excellence in filmmaking.
Supporting storytellers of the future, Doc Edge Schools is an educational programme for students Year 5 to Tertiary.

Within the programme of talented directors is Christchurch local Ellie Adams, premiering her film Transcendence. -
They Call Me Wazza
Christchurch local Jonathan Smit, is premiering his mini documentary about the life of Christchurch surf photographer, Warren Hawke.
