In the heart of the central city is Tūranga Library. Located near Cathedral Square, the building itself is an architectural work of art and home to a wonderland of activities and spaces for all to enjoy.
With a variety of spaces for visitors to meet, talk, learn, be entertained, create, collaborate, debate, and read, you could spend hours making the most of this fantastic city asset.
New Zealand’s largest digital touch-screen the Discovery Wall lets you swipe through a virtual world of photos, videos and information.
There is an audio video studio, virtual reality, 3D printing, robotics, exhibition spaces, a conference room, café, TSB Space community arena and a children's play area – with a slide.
Tūranga is open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday. He Hononga | Connection, Ground floor opens at 8am, all other floors open at 9am.
Weekend hours are 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
