ChristchurchNZ has been recognised nationally for its approach to growing more high-value businesses and jobs.
The award for ‘Best Practice for Integrated Economic Development Planning’ was presented to ChristchurchNZ at the Economic Development New Zealand (EDNZ) Gala Awards 2021, held in Palmerston North.
The award acknowledged Ōtautahi Christchurch’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem which, through collaboration agreements among a network of partners, guarantees annual support of 40 to 60 businesses with high-growth potential as well as over 200 entrepreneurs.

The annual awards held by EDNZ is a celebration of economic development best practice and excellence and are an affirmation of the positive role regional economic development agencies play.
